Wii U release delayed?

A manufacturing problem could mean that the Wii U has been delayed until December or possibly the new year if rumours are to be believed.

With only a few months remaining until the holiday period arrives Nintendo looks like it could have a struggle on its hands. It is believed that the release date of the console could be as late as the first week of December.

It is said that the production of the GamePad is to blame for the hold up as it is proving to be more difficult to build than they obviously first thought. The controller is set to feature a 6.2 inch touchscreen display, a front-facing camera, motion-sensing and Near field communication technologies, its own power supply and the promise that the device will be completely wireless.

As expected, Nintendo has yet to either confirm or deny these specifications.

Nintendo is striving to release the console before the busy Thanksgiving period in America as this proves to be quite a lucrative time for new products and releases.

The big question still remains however and that is; will you buy a Wii U and will a delay affect your decision?
