Wii U price ‘confirmed’

Here we are again; another rumour has sprung up claiming that the Wii U will ‘definitely be under £250′.
Putting all scepticism aside, and actually taking this information at face value, it is believed that the Wii U will be priced under £250 in order to avoid a sales slump that affected the 3DS.
The source, an unnamed executive, has also been backed up by retail employees who also think it will be best for Nintendo to price the console at a competitive price-point.
Play.com games buyer Keith Sharp stated, “It’s important we don’t go down the 3DS route of retailer-led discounting both pre- and post-launch.
“I’m really impressed with Wii U, it’s got a good mix of insanely addictive mini-games and traditional ‘gamers’ titles.”
