Sony won’t show next gen until it’s ready
Sony’s CEO for the PlayStation Group has stated that the PS4 won’t be shown until it can show ‘a significant leap’.
Andrew House has challenged the opinion that the next batch of consoles won’t show a great leap from the current generation we have now. When asked about why there was no new hardware shown at E3 he said the following, “The right time to talk about new advances in hardware is when you can demonstrate a significant leap on the current experience, and something that is going to be attractive.”
“Beyond that we have nothing to say at this point,” he added.
There is widespread suggestion that the next generation of consoles will make it hard for people to really tell the difference between this and the next group of technologies.
It is also thought that the next PlayStation console will be revealed at next year’s E3 event if not sooner. What would you like to see in the next batch of consoles?
