Skyrim Dawnguard DLC Reveal Trailer + Details

Bethesda Software dropped the trailer for Skyrim’s Dawnguard DLC this week. The DLC pack will be based around vampires and bats.

From the trailer we can see that the DLC pack will give us a new Elder Scroll as well as potentially two new factions: a vampire based faction, and a vampire slayer faction.

Players may also be able to transform into a vampire creature with huge wings on their backs. From the trailer, there also appears to be a castle, this is possibly the base for the vampire slayers faction.

Weapons spotted in the trailer include the long anticipated crossbow as well as a new golden, jagged textured bow.

Characters and enemies include some sort of ice giant with huge fangs coming from its mouth. We can also see a mysterious creature that some how explodes into a mob of bats, and flies off. A horse can be seen in the trailer, covered in blue gas-like flames, which is in no distress at all.

We can also see new dragon flying techniques, weather types and mounted horse combat.

The Skyrim Dawnguard DLC will release this summer for Xbox 360 at a price of 1600 Microsoft Points. Playstation 3 and PC versions are expected to follow shortly afterwards.
