Sakurai Hints at New Smash Bros., Characters

Masahiro Sakurai (creator of Kirby and Smash Bros.) only said one thing about the new Smash Bros. game for the Wii U and 3DS during his keynote address at the CEDEC developers conference.

However, that one thing was enough to get Smash fans hyped all over the world. So, what did he say?

“It’s fun making new skills for new characters.”

That’s it, but that was enough for most.

Yes, not only does it confirm that there are new characters making it into the game (something which he said was unlikely), but it also confirms that development has progressed significantly since we last heard.

Could these new characters be from Namco themselves, Pac-Man perhaps?

We’ll just have to wait and see.
