Nintendo Charges Outrageous Online NSMB 2 Price

New Super Mario Bros. 2 is out on Friday and it’s an important game for Nintendo not only for the 3DS’s success, but also because it launches their new downloadable approach.

However, it seems as if Nintendo believes that £39.99 is good value for money.

Yes, that’s the asking price to download New Super Mario Bros. 2 on the eShop, or will be come Friday. Taking into account that Amazon has the game for £29.97 with the box included, it’s easy to see why the reaction to the price has people brandishing pitchforks.

Nintendo must get this right if they want to impress investors with their new online stance. At this rate, they’re not going to get far.
