Miyamoto: There’s Too Much Reliance on Games with Guns

In an interview with IGN, Shigeru Miyamoto has stated that he is “worried” about the reliance on games featuring “guns” in the industry today.
Miyamoto said: “Sometimes I get worried about the continued reliance on making games that are so centered around guns, and that there are so many of these games. I have a hard time imagining – particularly for young generations of gamers – how they sit down and play and interact with that.”
Miyamoto isn’t the first to speak out either, as other key players like Warren Spector have showed concern over the violence present in games at E3 this year.
We have to agree too, finding something that isn’t an FPS these days is quite the challenge.
