E3 2012: New Super Mario Bros U Announced

Mario and his pals will be back for a new side-scrolling adventure on the Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo have confirmed at their E3 press conference.
Titled New Super Mario Bros U, the new game experience will feature unique and innovative additions to the Super Mario lore including a Squirrel Suit and Baby Yoshis which you can pick up and earn points with. The Wii U Gamepad can be used to leave comments on the World Map as per the Nintendo Direct footage, and up to five players can join in on the various levels in much a similar way to what was shown off in Rayman Legends in Ubisoft’s conference yesterday.
As with the newly announced Pikmin 3, the main control method will be Wii Remotes, so anyone who has owned a Wii will be in safe hands for multiplayer. Expect more details on New Super Mario Bros U and its release window very soon.
