Borderlands 2 won’t be censored

It has been announced by Gearbox that Borderlands 2 will be released uncut worldwide, meaning that all countries will see a full-gore version release in their region.

“We’re happy to announce that Borderlands 2 will be uncut all over the world,” Gearbox announced via their blog. “Some fans will remember that the first Borderlands game was a bit toned down in certain territories compared to the rest of the world. No longer!

“Do you live in Germany? Australia? Bandits will be just as likely to explode into bloody chunks of awesomeness as they will be in Canada or England (which is to say: very likely.)”

There is an option however for those who are allergic to such gore and mess to turn off the gore and make the game much less violent and bloody. Let’s be honest though, who wants to do that?

Gearbox said that work had officially finished on the game and had now turned its attention onto the stream of DLC that will be released post-launch. Makes you wonder why some of it couldn’t come as part of the main game….
