$99 hackable device seems popular, Seriously
Plans to release a $99 Android-based console seem to have been met with industry spread backing.
The console, named Ouya, will plug into your TV set but that is where the similarities end when it comes to other games consoles. All games will be free to play and any developer will be able to publish their games for free.
Buyers of the console will also receive a development kit for free whilst the console is intended to be ‘hacked’.
Ed Fries, one of the key execs behind the original Xbox and the signing of developers such as Bungie and Rare, is a project director for the new console.
